Empowered Jefferson County is a network of local Constitutional Conservatives. We educate & empower local citizens to engage in government in order to secure freedom of their faith and family. We recruit, train and help God fearing Republicans run for office!
God is the center of everything we do! We believe our Constitution is one of the greatest documents ever written! We believe like John Adams said, "This Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
Our beliefs are derived from the Bible. We pray at every meeting and we seek God in all we do! His wisdom guides our decisions. We believe our rights come from God, not government. Governments are instituted among men, by the consent of the governed, to secure these God- given rights.
We believe our Founders got it right when they established parameters on the Federal Government by giving them Limited authority. We believe in self- governance by We The People. Government shouldn't be growing bigger and bigger and further burdening us with more rules and more debt. The U.S Debt is over $33 Trillion today.
The 1st amendment was established first for a reason. It's the most important. The Second Amendment is there to protect the First and all the others. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
The Republic won't save itself. It takes action. We need people to be active in our group. By voting, Making calls, emailing our reps, or actively campaigning, You can become a member through participation in the group. Even 1 hour a month can be a great asset.
And don't forget the most basic involvement - VOTE!
The November 5th election will be here before we know it.
This will determine not just the President, but also state/federal senators/reps, AND many City mayors and aldermen. There are lots of contested elections locally, so find out about candidates and vote. Local elections impact your life directly, and the percentage of people who vote makes your vote very impactful. "All politics are local."
Early voting is over. Thank you to all who voted! Over 50% of the registered voters in the county voted during this time. Hoping the rest vote on Election Day!
